So this year I am more gadget-oriented in terms of what I want for my Birthday and I know I am a spoiled brat when it comes to my gadgets, seriously how many computers/ipods/techtoys/etc do I need? But seriously, no I want them all! Like I love my tech toys and can’t live without them! So this year I have prepared a birthday wish list which I shared with my sisters who are abroad and am going to share with you guys just for the fun of it :)
Gadgets:
1. iMac Late 2009 – 27″ i7 Quadcore 2.8Ghz, 8GB Ram, 1TB, ATI Radeon 4850 HD Graphics Card, beautiful machine!
2. Archos 7 (Either the 160GB model or the 320GB model nothing less nothing more) or
3. iPod Nano (RED 16GB) just to add to my collection since I’ve got 1st Gen, and 3rd Gen, and now I need 5th Gen ;)
4. Kindle (DX or the Regular one either one is fine)
5. Barnes & Noble Nook (I would love both this and the Kindle, the kindle more because I’ve got a collection of books!)
6. Sony Cybershot WX1 (10mpx Exmor R Digital Camera) However this is last on my list because I don’t desperately need it.
7. A tiny netbook similar to the Sony Vaio P in design however one that is cheaper perhaps or the Vaio P if you’re generous ;) $800 (With Vista & Poor processor I believe)
8. That’s about it :)

The Archos is ok, your better off with a solid netbook from HP or Asus, the Sony is pretty crappy.. E-Book readers are so last year! Update your list! looool!

question regarding the kindle:
i really want one but i am a little concerned cuz i heard i cant get any books from kuwait…. how do you do it? cuz if there is an easy way i just might buy which will be added to my wihslist:
1- iphone (i am sick of the bb :P)
2- netbook (preferbly windows 7 but anyway i’m gonna try to hack it to run snowleopard)
3- Kindle or a nook (if you can give me a reasonable way to add books)
4- Imac (ofcourse i want one who doesnt :P but i think the 27 inch is to big but the quad core is tempting)

ive got the kindle and its freaking amazing. when i saw the nook i was like nooooo but i mean its not that different other than the touch screen. cause the color is only for the menu and lending books system is fail
wala im carrying most of my classes lectures (if they were pdf) with me.
@stuck at work: i buy kindle books by using amazon gift cards. basically u have a 2ndary account with an american adress but not credit card and u just buy gift cards with ur normal account and send em to the 2nd account

oh ya 1 more thing, theres no wireless service in kuwait even after they updated and made an international kindle so u gotta get ur books from the pc. kinda of a hassle if u like reading foreign books but its worth it

The Spanian : Hehehe thanks I am crazy like that and yeah I want to give the Archos 7 a try simply because I don’t have time to sit and convert my TV Shows so to just shove them on the device and have them play flawlessly is awesome!

stuck at work : Aww you’re like me when it comes to techtoys aren’t you hehe jewelry just doesn’t make me tingle like gadgets do hehehe and well the Kindle as Ali answered he uses amazon gift certificates I use my US acct and order otherwise I’ve faced no trouble download the books on the computer and do a transfer. As for your wishlist, I’ve got the iPhone, I want a Netbook but nothing right now is tempting me.. Kindle of coure and a nook as well I’ll be getting those, and the iMac is a sure thing now! LOL!

QuestionQ8 : Aww thanks sweetie and I have the Macbook Air, I bought the first model I am still in love with that bad boy hehehe and can’t travel without it. As for the E-reader I’m not sure about the sony one but oh well good luck with that :)
ali : I know but the nook is also cool and it doesn’t hurt having more than one, but to tell you the truth the Kindle is so much more user-friendly in terms of the availability of books + the price of them. Whereas the nook’s books all cost 9.99$ and above.

I ordered my 27″ iMac two weeks ago, hopefully will get it by Sunday. Instead of the Archos i’m waiting for the “iTablet” which is said to be launched in January, i recommend you wait for that.
i’d prefer the archos 5 internet tablet ..
BTW : do you know where to get Archos Android in Kuwait ?
