[TV]Game of Thrones Premiere Date & Cast

The International Comic Convention took place this past weekend in San Diego and featured a number of different panels but one of the most important ones happened to be the “Game of Thrones” panel in which we were introduced to a “Meet the new cast” YouTube video that highlights the newest cast members for Season 3. Not to mention the announcement of when the next season will premiere.

The new additions to the cast included:

• Dianna Rigg as Lady Olenna Tyrell “The Queen of Thorns” [Margaery Tyrell's Grandmother]
• Mackenzie Crook as the Wildling Raider Orell [Skin Changer]
• Clive Russell as Bryndon “The Blackfish” Tully [Lady Catelyn Stark's Uncle]
• Nathalie Emmanuel as Missandei [A slave freed by Daenerys (Khaleesi)]
• Kerry Ingram as Shireen Baratheon [Stannis' daughter]
• Thomas Brodie – Sangster as Jojen Reed [Both Jojen and his sister help Bran in his journey]
• Ellie Kendrick as Meera Reed [Along with her brother Jojen they help Bran in his journey]
• Richard Dormer as Beric Dondarrion [Leader of the Brotherhood without Banners]
• Paul Kaye as Thoros of Myr [Red Lord Priest and Member of the Brotherhood, Beric's friend]

The creme de la creme of the panel was the announcement that next year March 31st 2013 will be the premiere date of season 3 for “Game of Thrones”.  I personally can’t wait and I’m on the edge of my seat already, but I do hope that it does an insanely better job than this year as there were some misses in episodes that aired this year.
