[Events] Zafran’s Ramadan Iftar Buffet
Earlier this week I was invited to try out Iftar Buffet. Zafran is a contemporary Indian restaurant which is located in Centerpoint – Salem Al Mubarak Street (across the street from Al Fanar Mall).
I arrived there with (as usual) at 6:45 and the Maghreb prayers had just sounded. The place was beautifully decorated and spacious enough. We quickly chose a table and proceeded to the buffet area to pick from the mixture of mostly Indian foods and some lebanese items such as Hummos, Tabbouleh, etc.
I am not a huge fan of spicy food so I tried my best to steer away from those and as well. But it was kind of difficult as everything is mildly spicy.
The options which I chose were delicious but I can’t for the life of me remember them. The only thing lacking in my opinion was the dessert buffet because it had only watermelon slices, two arabic deserts, and I don’t know what else exactly, but I couldn’t enjoy that.
Nonetheless, my other partner in crime was there and can offer a more well-rounded opinion of the place. Be sure to head on over there and check out her review. []
The Buffet costs 7.500 KD and includes everything from drinks, buffet food, to Arabic Coffee).
Thanks Stacy for the invitation and will definitely try it again sometime.
P.S. My ultimate favorite things that evening were the Leban which was absolutely delicious and the Nan! Also the Meat in sauce thing was delicious.
