Ratatouille, is a new animated movie out by Walt Disney Pictures, it’s been highly advertised about and hyped in the media and other outlets.  Oddly enough I went out today with my youngest Uncle and we were picking out movies, he happened to see this one as well as “Surf’s Up” and grabbed them for me, he loves me really :P  We were talking about me changing my car on the ride home, and how I want a Porsche Cayenne, but wait I’m digressing from the main subject.  So we reach there and I decide to check if the copies are good, “Surf’s Up” is good, and when I put in “Ratatouille” I thought that it was good enough that I wanted to start watching it, and I did.  I watched it on Grandma’s couch, like a true couch potato.

This little flick is about a rat named “Remy” who discovers that he loves cooking through his infatuation with the once great chef Auguste Gustaeu, who wrote a book that stated “Anyone can cook” which angered many critics.  Remy is struggling between following his fellow rodents or following his dream and achieving what he wants most “becoming the greatest chef there is in Paris.”  So the dilemma ensues throughout the movie of how a rodent tries to fit in a business that does not tolerate such rodents.  And the question of how man and rodent can establish a relationship is answered throughout.

Starring: Patton Oswalt, Ian Holm, Lou Romano, Brian Dennehy, Peter Sohn

Genre:  Action/Adventure, Comedy, Kid’s & Family, Animation

Running Time: 1 hr 51 min

****½

Be sure to watch it, I loved it really and it was amazing.  He had bits and pieces of me really :P
