I didn’t mean to go to InfoConnect this year but I thought why not check it out on it’s last day in the morning so I grabbed my sister along with myself and headed out there early in the morning and it was crowded but not that huge crowd that you can’t see where you’re going. As what pretty most of the bloggers out there said it wasn’t that great of an exhibition but there was this one thing that I bought that is sort of like a guilty secret of mine.
At this one booth, I saw that they were selling the HP Mini 210, the same model which a few days before the event I saw in Eureka going for around 139KD it’s this Netbook with Pinetrail Atom Processor of 1.66Ghz, 2GB RAM (which is awesome!), 250GB HDD, and Windows 7 Starter Edition on it, it’s got a slot prepped for a 3G SIM Card adapter but with no adapter installed and you know how easy it is to just get online and grab one and install it. Anywho, I kind of drifted from my main point. I was feeling a little low and there is nothing better than a little bit of Retail Technological Therapy to help me combat the blues and this one shop was selling this same model for 115KD for the last day only! I thought hey why not, the battery is awesome btw it gives you almost 8 hours charge! And that’s kind of like alot! Anywho so both my sister and I decide to grab one, you should’ve seen me debating the whole issue but I was sold on it since they had it in my favorite color!
RED!
I went for the red model and she went for the blue model. It is an awesome purchase and I don’t regret it at all! I am enjoying the fact that I installed Kindle for the PC on it and I get another Kindle reader in my collection (iPhone, iPod Touch, Kindle, and now HP Mini 210) So for those of you out there who want to grab a netbook, be sure to check this one out!
I hate HP but this is the one model that made me change my mind, and as Sheldon Cooper said in a recent episode of “The Big Bang Theory” in which he said “I would advise the three of you that resistance is futile, I have endless patience, I once spent two and a half hours on hold with Hewlett Packard Customer Service just to complain about their customer service.” And to tell you the truth in 2008 while I was abroad in the US with my father dealing with his sickness I have done the same thing with HP and they sucked major butt! But this product doesn’t suck that much it’s awesome :P
Anyways, this is a highly recommended product from me! :)
P.S. On Amazon, the link you’ll find above it’s listed for 360$ with only 1GB of RAM which roughly translates to 104KD whereas I got the same model with 2GB RAM for 115KD and that’s excluding shipping and customs :D

Nice purchase, so you just jumped on it! I have the HP 5101 and its a great laptop, I’m looking forward to the next generation netbooks! I just want a netbook which is that size but a little bit more powerful! 10 to 11 is a great size to have!
Marzouq : LOL That means you want a great laptop with netbook size/weight etc. Hehehe but it really is a nice purchase!
Be warned, do not loose the AC adapter! HP idiots used over 3 months to get a replacement and they have, of course, used a non-standard plug.
I’ve tried 10 different multiadapters nothing worked.
