It seems that toys are getting smarter nowadays playing with our gadgets simply because well the kids are more spoiled (I blame myself I have spoiled Lujain and my little cousins crazy with those Apple products) and so the toy industry is losing if they don’t join the techie crowd.
So, Mattel is coming up with this “Barbie Photo Fashion” a barbie that comes with an enormous LCD implanted in her abdomen and instead of purchasing a digital camera for the little ones they can shoot pictures with the lens that’s sticking out her back. The pictures can then be customized with frames and more making this really every little girls dream doll.
Two weeks ago I received an invitation from to attend the premiere of their latest 3D movie “The Last Reef” translated and narrated by the amazing news anchor Mr. Yousef Mustafa. (Note: Headphones with the English version of the movie are available for Foreigners or those who do not speak Arabic)
Last week was filled with election hoop-la and stress but what most of you have probably heard about a lovely thing happened on Friday afternoon at the Avenues Mall. A group of Kuwaiti youth (I think they all would classify as that) men and boys and with the inclusion of a girl who lip-synced a part of the song were seen performing a “Flash Mob”.
Most of you probably know about Flash Mob’s from YouTube and certain movies (read: Friends with Benefits) and thus this wasn’t a new phenomena to see. The new thing about it is how it was beautifully put together. My colleague and friend at the (Onilda Fernandez) [] wrote a lovely piece about how it all came out to be. Did you know that it took 2 months to put together and that the young men were all too stressed out from rehearsing but the day of the Flash Mob they felt happy because of the interaction that happened with the audience?
I for one am proud of what they did; the only thing I missed out on was some of the Kuwaiti Songs that I loved while growing up and having a bit more of a musical ooomph (you know ranging from slow to fast to slow to fast again :D) But nonetheless I wouldn’t have wanted it to be any different.
Earlier November I received a surprise in the mail, it was the 2nd day of Eid when I came home and found an envelope on my desk.
I was not expecting any packages and did not know what it was so I proceeded with caution. Once the envelope was open I was greated with the following letter.
It appears to be that since both Mother and I abused my account we have won a 100$ Amazon Gift Certificate for being one of their very best customers! I jumped with excitement and made sure to tell mother about it.
Unfortunately she was angry as she says, she’s the one mainly using the account so she should get the 100$ Gift Certificate and well I succumbed to defeat and allowed her to have it.
But nonetheless, this is why my friends I still love no matter how slow the packages get but the heart and soul of the business is there and they do take care of their customers once they are aware of the problems. Not to mention the personalized greeting from their Regional Head. I absolutely loved it!

As most of you know (those who follow me on Instagram or on Twitter), earlier this month was my birthday and one of my gifts to myself was a customized iPhone 4S case and skin. I miss talking about my life, and I think the reason I have become just so damn lazy in terms of blogging is that all the posts are similar to what is available in the market (aka the blogosphere). So today I will take a break from all of that and talk about what happened to me yesterday one of the funniest days of this year.
I woke up a bit late in the day because I had a movie date with my Aunt, cousins and we were going to 360 to watch the release of “Horrid Henry” it was a lovely movie. I really really had fun and enjoyed the movie. In short, the kids movie basically tells the story of Horrid Henry and his friends and their mission was to save their school ‘Ashton Elementary School’ from closing down. But it’s not all peachy and dandy because Henry is horrid and he is the reason that the school was closing down. If you are looking for something funny to watch and kids-suitable then be sure to book your ticket today.
Anywho, afterwards I ran off to work (yes I work on Saturdays ‘sometimes’) and prepared my awesomely insane Technology page for “” check it out in my next post and be sure to give me pointers here and there :D
I finished work and headed back to Auntie’s house where Lujain was and sat and had a nice chat with the cousins Toons and Issous, during which Issous became insane! Listen up this is the part of the story you’ve been promised!

You see I was showing my Aunt how to use Siri, and Issous saw it as a chance to jump on me to try and kidnap Siri and abuse it! The problem is I don’t like kids touching my gadgets because of their greasy fingers! Yes Issous you have dirty fingers! So I kept trying to snatch it away which got us into the battle of the tickles. Issous jumped on my back and started doing this annoying thing with his jaw where he opens and closes it on my shoulder which mimics the tickling feature and I started giggling like a 2 year old. I tried to shake him off but to no success he was stuck on me like a little monkey. Next he started tickling my sides, I dropped him on the couch and squeezed him and tickled him but apparently that 6 year old boy is stronger than I am and he went back to being the dominant one in the tickling war. I tried to run away but was stuck on me, eventually he held me down in the middle of the room and tickled me until I was literally about to cry! I was able to run away and go home but that tickling fest broke me down hehe :D
Later on that evening, said that this was the first time she knew I was ticklish and the first time she saw me laugh like this hehe I guess I need to laugh more, and with that I end this adventure with one of my crazy cousins.

I literally was smiling the whole way through and laughing my head off! Not to mention remembering almost every single song out there! Boy the 90s were such an amazing time to grow up in! I am so grateful for my childhood and feel sorry for kids today!

Ever since I was in that Job depression mode I was in these past what 5 years? Well a short while back I got an awesome opportunity to do something that I never thought I would enjoy this much!
Working at a Newspaper!
Not just any job at the Newspaper but mainly on the Entertainment & Technology sections! That’s like a dream job for me! Getting to watch endless shows and getting paid for it! Granted that’s not exactly the same thing but seriously who knew that this was cool! (Well it could be that the Newspaper I’m at is small and not that famous) but still it’s awesome and I am liking it! Plus going in to work in the afternoon is so much better than going in the morning! I can actually live like a vampire and enjoy having a job. Unfortunately it’s not a full time thing (I’m not sure if I wanna continue doing it full time) but right now as part time I am having the time of my lifeeeee (remembers a scene from the Pilot episode of “New Girl” a new show coming to FOX will tell you all about it later on!).
Anyways so last Monday I was able to get my name published for the first time in the newspaper for a September TV Calendar of Finales & Season Premieres! It was so cool I was excited and raved all about it! Now what’s cool today is that in a few short hours tomorrow’s newspaper will be out and you will be able to grab my first ever “Fall TV Preview” article in which I gave you a glimpse of “Happy Endings” my favorite show from the last mid-season, they’re coming back this September and it’s going to be AWESOME!
Now I am not sure how long I will be doing this but I haven’t gotten rid of that honeymoon-y feeling and I wish I never get rid of it! I get to be creative, choose awesome things, learn how newspapers are made and so much more! I don’t think I regret any of my previous jobs because so far I feel like I’m getting tons of experience in different aspects of life and you know what they say! Knowledge is power!
