The one with Insane Issous

November 6, 2011  |  Family, Fun, Movies

I miss talking about my life, and I think the reason I have become just so damn lazy in terms of blogging is that all the posts are similar to what is available in the market (aka the blogosphere).  So today I will take a break from all of that and talk about what happened to me yesterday one of the funniest days of this year.

I woke up a bit late in the day because I had a movie date with my Aunt, cousins and Lujain we were going to 360 to watch the release of “Horrid Henry” it was a lovely movie.  I really really had fun and enjoyed the movie. In short, the kids movie basically tells the story of Horrid Henry and his friends and their mission was to save their school ‘Ashton Elementary School’ from closing down.  But it’s not all peachy and dandy because Henry is horrid and he is the reason that the school was closing down.  If you are looking for something funny to watch and kids-suitable then be sure to book your ticket today.

Anywho, afterwards I ran off to work (yes I work on Saturdays ‘sometimes’) and prepared my awesomely insane Technology page for “Al Watan Daily” check it out in my next post and be sure to give me pointers here and there :D

I finished work and headed back to Auntie’s house where Lujain was and sat and had a nice chat with the cousins Toons and Issous, during which Issous became insane! Listen up this is the part of the story you’ve been promised!

You see I was showing my Aunt how to use Siri, and Issous saw it as a chance to jump on me to try and kidnap Siri and abuse it! The problem is I don’t like kids touching my gadgets because of their greasy fingers! Yes Issous you have dirty fingers! So I kept trying to snatch it away which got us into the battle of the tickles.  Issous jumped on my back and started doing this annoying thing with his jaw where he opens and closes it on my shoulder which mimics the tickling feature and I started giggling like a 2 year old.  I tried to shake him off but to no success he was stuck on me like a little monkey.  Next he started tickling my sides, I dropped him on the couch and squeezed him and tickled him but apparently that 6 year old boy is stronger than I am and he went back to being the dominant one in the tickling war. I tried to run away but was stuck on me, eventually he held me down in the middle of the room and tickled me until I was literally about to cry! I was able to run away and go home but that tickling fest broke me down hehe :D

Later on that evening, Lujain said that this was the first time she knew I was ticklish and the first time she saw me laugh like this hehe I guess I need to laugh more, and with that I end this adventure with one of my crazy cousins.

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing about it!

P.S. That photo up there was taken by the iPhone 4S with no editing done on the picture except the photoshopping of the phone :P

[Movie Review] Tangled

As I mentioned earlier three weeks ago I celebrated my 27th birthday and on that weekend two of my favorite movies were being released (unfortunately “The Tourist” was released a week later) and so I thought I would spend that time pampering myself as well as my little kiddie cousins and sister. So on that weekend we went to Marina Mall and saw “Tangled” Toons, Issous, and Lujain with my Aunt. We saw it in 3D and it was fun! I loved the effects in the movie and the story well it was the typical Rapunzel story with a twist I believe.

I don’t remember the old version of the movie since it wasn’t one of my favorites at the time, my old time classic Disney movies I loved to watch were The Aristocats, Cinderella, Beauty & The Beast, Snow White & Seven Dwarfs, and some others but I steered away from some of the earlier originals oh wait I just remembered DUMBO! I loved that one! This movie bedazzled me with its effects which helped bring the story to a new light however it will remain my favorite Disney movie of the year and not favorite animation since that is taken by this years “Despicable Me” that was something to reckon with! I simply loved that one and wouldn’t mind watching it over and over again.

So, for the classic Disney loving person go ahead and check it out, it’s a great movie and I enjoyed every second of it!

P.S.  The lizard soooo reminded me of Issous hehe and I kept teasing him about it throughout the movie!

[Movie Review] Life As We Know It

Three weeks ago was my birthday weekend, I dedicated the entire weekend to myself and whatever I wanted I did.  One of the things I wanted to do was go and see the new Josh Duhamel movie “Life As We Know It” and I can literally tell you I was laughing throughout the movie and about to really spill everything from the strength of the laughter.

The saddest thing though in Kuwait is that the movie is heavily censored so the first few minutes I was constantly shouting at the screen “What the HELL!” I didn’t get the beginning because of the censorship but that didn’t stop the movie from being funny.  The story tackles two individual best friends to a couple, the couple tried to set them up a few years earlier but that didn’t work, the couple is married and had a daughter whom they appointed said best friends to be that child’s godparents.  An unfortunate accident occurred and both parents are dead, however their last wish was to have their best friends Katherine Heigel and Josh Duhamel raise their daughter as their own.  That probably isn’t the most ideal story however the funniest bits happened when both were trying to deal with a baby without having prior experience.  Heigel played her usual neurotic self where is a control freak (a la “The Ugly Truth” and “27 Dresses”) whereas Josh Duhamel plays the goofy aloof guy which is sometimes his typical role.  For me Josh made the whole combo work and because of him I laughed my head off in most scenes.

I would recommend you to watch it on a DVD simply because you would avoid the censorship available here in the cinemas.

[Funny] The Tourist – Outtakes

December 22, 2010  |  Fun, Movies

No one loves a good outtake reel or gag reel for their favorite movies or tv shows more than I do! I recently found this awesome clip of the outtakes on the movie “The Tourist” starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie and I was laughing my head off LOL!

My favorite moment was when Johnny Depp and Paul Bettany were mouthing the words “I love you” and “I love you too” back at each other simply hilarious! Be sure to check it out when you get a chance.

Can’t wait to watch it this weekend!

Can’t wait for Pirates of the Caribbean 4

December 14, 2010  |  Movies

They have just released the trailer for the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, “On Stranger Tides” and I can’t wait for May 2011 to come! I think this will be an awesome installment especially since we don’t have Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley to bring it down with their love story.  Penelope Cruz joins the cast and it sounds delicious! Zombies, Mermaids, Spanish Hottie Penelope Cruz, and best of all the sexiest pirate there ever was Johnny Depp (aka Jack Sparrow – sorry Captain Jack Sparrow) all rolled into one!  The search for the Fountain of Youth has never been more enticing.

What I’m Looking Forward To?

December 2, 2010  |  Birthday, Family, Fun, Movies, Weekend

This weekend is going to be awesome, not only is it Birthday Weekend but there are two new movies out and I am going to one of them tonight and the other tomorrow!

I seriously can’t wait to see “Life as We Know It” starring my honey bunch Josh Duhamel and the boring Katherine Heigel but that’s the price I pay to watch Josh on the movie. (I bet that scene would be censored but it’s the price to pay to see Joshy boy!)

Tomorrow will be spent with family and Lujain going to watch “Tangled” the new animation from Disney! Now if only I can have her hair it would be awesome!

Another thing looking forward to is Saturday, birthday day and the day Daddy comes home with all my gifts and presents yay! One of the things I got myself earlier this year for free was the “Square: Payment System thingy for the iPhone/iPad which is cool” And just so much more!  Oh and a haircut too! I dunno what I’ll do but something new and fresh at least!

I love December!

[Movies] Megamind Now Showing in Kuwait

November 11, 2010  |  Movies, Weekend

So, my most anticipated animated movie of the year is out, well there is another anticipated movie which is done by Disney and it’s called “Tangled” but that’s for another post.  For those of you who are Will Farrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Feye, Jonah Hill fans be sure to keep this on the look out, if it’s anything like “Despicable Me” then it’ll be one awesome movie! I will be taking the kids out tomorrow (not mine, my cousins Toons & Issous, and sister Lujain) it’s Issous’s birthday and I think we need to celebrate in style.

Can’t wait for tomorrow! Today is going to be a busy day!

P.S. 3-D Digital is the way to go all the way!!!!

[Movie Review] Despicable Me

July 17, 2010  |  Movies, Reviews

I will not give you a full review or anything, if you’ve watched the trailer below and found that it was funny then I highly recommend you watch it in 3D because I went on Thursday with my dad, aunt, uncle, and my aunt’s 2 kids issous and toons and trust me we were laughing throughout the movie, tears were coming down our faces from how funny it was, and I can’t help but love the new phrase of the year “oh poop!” LOL! Seriously this movie just blew out every single animation I have seen in my entire 26 years of existance! And I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! I give it a million stars if possible but I guess 5 out of 5 is the highest I can go here.  Seriously just go watch it! I don’t want to tell you what it’s about just go and watch it!

And think of me when you see the oldest girl with her glasses she looks totally like me! :P
