Now every girl/boy can have a Steve Jobs of their own! A nice little “” plush doll which measures 15 inches tall and is filled with polyester fibers and has removable glasses (for when you want to cuddle late at night I mean for when he goes to sleep).
He has a 100% cotton shirt and denim jeans and would make every Jacqui in the world extremeley happy!
The best thing though is that a 10% of the proceeds of each “” sold goes to American Cancer Society to help honor the great genius that is Steve.

As most of you know (those who follow me on Instagram or on Twitter), earlier this month was my birthday and one of my gifts to myself was a customized iPhone 4S case and skin. Many of you asked me as to how I created such a master-piece not to mention a majority fell in love with my design. Although I did not want to showcase the design this early but I was so excited by the amazingness of the design that I had to share it with you all!
So I will give you the steps to creating both your personalized case and skin.
On October 7th I woke up really early even though I had only 2-4 hours of sleep I made sure to wake up to pre-order my iPhone 4S and make sure I was one of the first few to get it on launch day! Unfortunately the US Apple Store did not have the unlocked version available for sale until November so I headed over to the UK Apple Store and was able to place an order at around 10AM it was crazy didn’t get my confirmation letter until late that evening but well worth the wait.
Last Friday October 14th it was delivered to my Aramex UK mailbox and I anxiously waited for it to arrive to Kuwait, but unfortunately due to some trouble with people who didn’t log in the shipment my baby was not shipped until Monday (thanks to the Shop and Ship team on twitter @Shopandship) it was rushed over here and I got it today! WEDNESDAY that was the fastest shipment ever!
I am so happy and enjoying the unboxing experience as well as Siri, will review it shortly just thought I would make you all iJealous as I was these past few days.
I got the 64GB White model whereas father ordered the 32GB White model as well. Oh yeah and Thanks Daddy! This was my early birthday gift! [He's still going to the US on my birthday will have him bring me something else from there, after all I am daddy's little girl :P]
So yeah there you have it! I got it for 305KD from the UK Apple Store + 7.800KD Shipping for both iPhones which still makes it cheaper than those thieves at XCite Electronics!
P.S. I am still getting the iPhone 5 next year or probably it will be called iPhone 6 because it is the 6th generation! It was the last project Papa Steve Jobs was working on closely before he passed away :(
The main focus of the event was the , judging by the name of it “Let’s talk iPhone” however most of you out there will feel that this update lacked the hype that we were seeing the past few weeks in which everyone expected it to be the launch of the “iPhone 5” a redesigned iPhone. Let’s face it I thought the same as well but judging by the updates we’ve seen today it is still something good and not to be shunned away. I personally will be purchasing a brand new iPhone since I’ve been wanting a White one and the selling feature for me was the increased capacity (yes I eat capacity from my iPhone!)
Judging by the looks of it, the has the same outside design as the current iPhone 4 but it’s the inside that has change, after all beauty is within a person (or in this case device). It has the same retina display available in today’s device and the same glass on the back but let’s try to see what’s new.
So what’s new with the ?
- It has an A5 Chip which is up to 2 times faster than before, with dual-core graphics which are said to be 7 times faster than previous iPhone (Yay SPEED!)
- Battery life has improved to 8 hrs for 3G Talk time, 14 hrs for 2G Talk time, 6 hrs for 3G browsing, 9 hrs for Wi-Fi browsing, 10 hrs for Video, and 40 hrs for music. “Fantastic battery life.” (Let’s hope it actually performs that way!)
- It has a completely redesigned antenna system for the iPhone 4S making the device the first phone to intelligently switch between antennas for sending and receiving. It also supports both GSM & CDMA technology, and supports HSDPA download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps, twice that of the iPhone 4. (Wooohooo Faster downloads!)
- It includes an all new camera with the most advanced optics of any phone. The 8 megapixel sensor has 60% more pixels so you can take amazing high quality photos with more detail than ever. It includes a new custom lens, a larger f/2.4 aperture and an advanced hybrid IR filter that produces sharper, brighter and more accurate images. It has backside illumination that gives you 73% more light. It’s faster too – one third quicker! There is a new image signal processor that Apple designed, enabling face detection and 26 % better balance.
- The camera is now fully capable of recording 1080p HD resolution videos with video image stabilization and temporal noise reduction.
- Airplay Mirroring is now available on the iPhone 4S and so amazing to watch yourself playing the game on a big screen TV wirelessly!
- Comes with iOS5 built-in.
- It comes with Siri, an intelligent assistant that helps you get things done just by asking it nicely. It is launching as a beta with support for English, French, and German, additional languages will be added later. Siri basically lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more. Ask Siri to do things just by talking the way you talk. Siri understands what you say, knows what you mean, and even talks back. Siri is so easy to use and does so much, you’ll keep finding more and more ways to use it.
And that is basically most of the new features of the brand new . You want to know how much it costs? Well the 16GB model is selling for $199, 32GB model is selling for $299, and the brand new [yes you heard it right] 64GB model is selilng for $399 (with a 2 year contract). The unlocked version prices should be available soon. It will be available for pre-order on October 7th with availability in retail stores and shipping date of October 14th in the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom.
The iPhone 4S will debut in an additional 22 countries by the end of October (October 28th). Those countries include: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. []
And with that my friends I give you the “most amazing iPhone ever,” as stated by our new dear friend Tim Cook.
I was somewhat disappointed with the event with the lack of an updated redesigned iPhone 5 but at the same time I expected the iPhone 4S since Apple recently redesigned it so it was just too soon. So I will be getting a brand new one, a white 64GB model to add to my collection courtesy of an early birthday present from father dearest!
P.S. The iPhone 4 is now available in 8GB model for 99$ and the iPhone 3GS 8GB model for Free.
We are almost 2 hours away from the Apple “Let’s talk iPhone” event and I am getting excited hell I am sitting here anticipating a brand new baby to come out! My new child! Yaay! A new addition to my family it’s been a while since I last purchased an Apple product, last time was hmmm I believe April with my MacBook Pro!

A while ago I wanted so desperately to blog so I reached over to grab my , the 11 inch one not the 13 inch one (yes I have both because I am freaky like that :P) but noticed that it wasn’t in its usual spot.
It turns out that both No3man and Malsoon who were gifts from last August were both fighting over who gets to use my ! Not only that but there was a mini-No3man waiting to abuse my poor child! I was so frustrated that I gave up blogging for that month :P

On Thursday the 15th of September was the first time this year that I have succumbed to my “impulse” buy need. I had just finished work around 7-ish and was heading out to since they had their version of the “Fire Sale” that was on the HP Touchpad in the US. They were selling the 16GB model for 79.900KD but more on that later, I had ordered mine a few weeks ago and well Dad wanted one so that was the main reason for me heading to .
As I made it through the traffic and my insane “Navigon” GPS system on my #iPhone4 (P.S. I felt like I should strangle it because I kept losing the GPS Signal and it was driving me insane!) I walked into the Shuwaikh (aka Al Rai) branch and immediately ignored the televisions that were surrounding me and headed towards the “Tablet” area, or so you would think. I felt a supernatural pull towards the Camera section which is one I rarely feel. I am not a professional photographer, I dabble in it. My camera of choice is usually a point-and-shoot from Sony and lately it’s been the which is awesome to say the least. They had a good discount system set on a couple of their professional cameras but I didn’t feel like I needed one of those big Nikon ones that would just make me lose it from how complicated they look.
I was about to grab the (I think) camera but instead something made me reach over for the . I had read that a few of my blogger friends use it and that it’s got some excellent reviews and for some reason that stuck in my head. As the sales guy was showing it to me I felt like, “Hmm maybe I should treat myself to an early gift!” Although I was semi-broke I decided I would grab that camera and leave with it! (as well as the Touchpad) and thus ended my first impulsive buy!
When I got home I started to play around with it a bit and started to like it, although I kept having trouble producing good photos as I have the world’s worst shakey hands when it comes to trying to take a picture. For some reason my hands feel high pressure and start to shake just before I take the picture. But all in all I am liking it and most of all is loving it! She yelled at me for not buying her one, I told her we will share this one between both of us!
P.S. I know that on the camera is available for 350$ (equivalent to 96KD without shipping), I purchased it for 145KD from Electrozan, in my mind that’s not a bad deal since it would come out to be the same price with all the customs/shipping taxes that they will surely apply here in Kuwait plus I can have it immediately.
Both and I were invited by the awesome Zain Social Media team specifically by Mohammad Al Muhaini. It was to take place in Bait Al Sadu at 9PM, however due to the major traffic we have in Kuwait the event did not start until 10PM which was good because I was late getting there, driving after fitour time is like insane!
At the event, both and I met with fellow bloggers, there were lots of them but those that I remember specifically are: , , , , , , , , , , , Moody from and others that attended were: , (unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to say hello but I saw you from far :)), , , , , and others I can’t recall! In short it was the place to be to meet other bloggers and socialize. [Update: , , AboFlan, Crowsy, Q8Ping, , Fahad Al Ibrahim, and B Festive were all there as well but unfortunately didn’t run into them :S)
The event started with a word from Mohammad Al Muhaini greeting us and welcoming us to the event afterwards the mic was passed to Mr. Omar Al Omar who gave us a small speech and welcomed us to future Zain events.
Afterwards the buffet was open but not many went there other than Lujain and I (even though I wasn’t that hungry).
Now the awesome part of the whole event is that stole the show! Everyone was surprised at her being the youngest blogger in Kuwait and she had requested from me to create her a ‘business card’ as she does not ‘feel’ like explaining her blog name and such to others. So you got to see her floating around the room from person to person passing her card and socializing, I was so proud of her.
We had to leave early at around 11PM but we did not leave empty-handed as we were handed gift bags by the awesome Mohammad Al Muhaini and Hala Abu Al Hasan :) I loved the personalized message that was on the tag and the fact that the whole event wasn’t a huge crazy social hype!
Inside the bag I was greeted with the biggest surprise ever, it was a nice Sadu bag with some sweets inside and this box that at first I thought was probably a perfume/bukhour/ramadan-y gift but when I tore open the box I was surprised to see an HTC Sensation mobile.
It was then that I understood what was written on my card “Jacqui.. Sorry Apple Freak Switch to Android :P” Hehehe that was the best gift ever as I was itching for a new gadget and this helped!
