Rebel Wilson dazzled us all in her last movie “Pitch Perfect” and “Bridesmaids” and well Conan O’Brien decided it was time to launch her into a show he would be producing and which would be called “Super Fun Night.” Was it really super fun? Will you keep wanting to see more of it? I’ll answer all of those questions in my mini-review found below.
Premiere Aired: Wednesdays October 2nd
Starring: Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect), Liza Lapira (Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23), Lauren Ash (The Ron James Show), and Kevin Bishop (Pinky and Perky Show).
Chuck Lorre, the creator of “Two and a Half Men”, “Mike & Molly”, and “The Big Bang Theory” decided to bring a new sitcom “Mom” to the small screen at CBS starring the beautiful Anna Faris as a single recovering alcoholic mom raising two children and trying to get by life with its numerous hardships. Is the show worth the watch? Does it live up to the Chuck Lorre reputation established at CBS with those three hit shows? Find out the answer in the mini-preview below.
Premiere Aired: Mondays September 23rd
Starring: Anna Faris (What’s Your Number), Allison Janney (Mr. Sunshine), Sadie Calvano (Melissa & Joey), Blake Garrett Rosenthal (New Girl), Nate Corddry (Harry’s Law), French Stewart (3rd Rock from the Sun), Matt Jones (Breaking Bad), and Spencer Daniels (The Office).
The series I’ve been waiting for has finally premiered, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.! I know I could’ve seen a pilot episode early last summer but I chose to wait it out on this one and I am glad I did. I fell in love all over again with Agent Coulson and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team! And I think it’s got a great path ahead of it. It’ll be fun to see how the series progresses along as the season moves forward. I just hope the chopping block keeps away from it.
Joining the #TrophyWife will be the new comedy series #TheGoldbergs on ABC Network. The pilot of this show has also shown up way before it’s premiere date and I was lucky enough to watch it. It’s got me confused as to whether I like it or not so I’ll just let you judge my conflict.
Late last week, we were given a glimpse into the new ABC sitcom called “Trophy Wife” which stars the beautiful Malin Ackerman and Bradley Whitford. It’s a simple story one that is reminiscent of “Modern Family” but using a different equation. ABC saw that the equation could work one more time and they could produce another hit, unfortunately for me it wasn’t that great, don’t get me wrong but something about the show just feels too tired but I will give it another shot with a few more episodes. So let’s find out more.
Earlier today the pilot episode of “We Are Men” was made available on the internet for those of us who can’t wait until the actual premiere date. To tell you the truth, I was skeptical when I read the “About Show” bit and thought this would definitely be one of the first shows to get cancelled. Unfortunately it did not disappoint, while watching the pilot I felt sad and relieved at the same time because this would mean one less show to watch. But enough about me, let me give you a glimpse into the show.
Now that I got the NBC comedy “Welcome to the Family” out of the way, I thought I’d share my thoughts on ABC’s comedy “Back in the Game” starring the gorgeous and awesome James Caan, my favorite old guy actor other than Jeremy Irons. Let’s tackle this show:
