I will be starting a series of my Travelling posts and the awesome stuff I bought from the States and one of the things was an accessory I got for my iPad2 as well as my little sister’s iPad2!
It’s the !
I have finally come back and I am not really ready to leave my vacation mode :/ I am not ready for work or any of the hassle and heart ache I will experience for now I will simply relive my beautiful days in the US and try to deal with my jet lag and such!
Stay tuned for everything that happened in the US, I promise to write ASAP.
I can’t really take the time off from my day of walking around the city to sit and write about my adventures but sometimes I just feel that I have to! Because what I’ve done these past few days was awesome! I will tell you guys more but let me summarize my New York stay in just a few words right now and also include my gadget shopping spree I went on!
New York (I Love YOU!)
May 1st- I got in and later that evening I went to see an Off-Broadway Musical called “Avenue Q” it was amazing! A Parody Puppet show telling us that life isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be hehe but we should make it work for ourselves! Awesome I had tons of fun!
May 2nd- Went to a Broadway Show called “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” for those of you old enough to know the movie which is quite old, it’s a show about 3 drag queens in Australia taking their show from Sydney to Alice, Australia so that “Tick” can finally meet his son. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT! It was simply amazing! The costumes, the music, the insane-ness of it all! It was a diva show and I just absolutely adored it! I would definitely recommend you all to check it out! If you don’t feel like jumping out of your seat to sing along with them then you don’t have a musical heart in you!
May 3rd- *aka yesterday!* I went to see a live-taping of *wait for it* “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and OMFG it was amazing! The guests of the night were Whoopi Goldberg, Jennifer Hudson, and ELMO! I had an insane time! I will definitely tell you more later on in an individual post but I just had to put this out there! It was simply amazing and I love ELMO! He gave us all free DVDs to take home with us! I am going to cherish it for life! The Roots (the band) were there as well and I just simply love them! *sigh* I want to see more Jimmy!
That’s my amazing life so far in New York it’s simply insane and I love it! I wish I could spend more time here but by then I’ll be insanely flat broke and that can’t happen!
Now onto the next topic, I’ve acquired lots of cool gadgets on this trip but some of the things I’d like to mention are:
- A brand new sparkling MacBook Pro 17″ with a 2.2Ghz Quadcore i7 Processor, 8GB of RAM, 750GB HDD, and an Anti-Glare Hi-Resolution screen which is absolutely awesome!
- A brand new Black iPad 2 3G & Wifi 64GB (which took me a week to track down! Now they are available at the Apple Store in Fifth Avenue)
- A Blackberry Playbook 16GB Wifi Only Model
And those are only some of the cool things I’ve got well I guess these were my biggest purchases! I am just insanely in love with the US and wish I could move and live here but then again I would be broke all the time! I would live in the Apple Store, trust me I would! I love you sisters and parents! Thanks for this awesome time! I have a few more days left until then I will come back with some awesome posts but at the moment I just want to enjoy my insane time!
So I’m sitting at the gate waiting for my flight which was supposed to leave at 10:43am however due to some unforeseen delays I will not be able to leave at that time instead I will be leaving perhaps in another hour as we are waiting on a flight attendant. Gosh darn it!
I had a nice time in Columbus, Ohio filled with insane bargain shopping to the extent that my bag is slightly overweight. What I loved most was the fact that I spent time with Sister #2 most of all and she’s really my personal shopper ;) next on the list will be New York New York babyyy!

Woke up early that morning had my bags already packed and got to the airport to get on two flights to get to Sister #3 (Your Battlefield). The problem with getting to Omaha, Nebraska is that their airport is so small there is no direct flight there. I had to pass through Milwaukee and have less than an hour transit then get on the plane again and head over to Omaha. The whole trip took around 4-5 hours and although that was tough I was able to sleep on the first part of the trip the flight over to Milwaukee.
Nothing weird happened and it was all nice and peachy. Oh wait I just remembered when I got to Milwaukee the flight from there to Omaha, Nebraska was 1 hour late and that’s about it.
Later Saturday evening
I got over to Omaha around 4-5pm and I kinda was tired but Sister #3 (Your Battlefield) had planned a cool night ahead we were going to see a nice Comedy Club Show at the Funny Bone! It was starting at around 7pm. So I rested for a very short while then got dressed and freshened up then I was ready to paint the town red well as red as I could since it was INSANELY COLD in Omaha as well!
Funny Bone Comedy Club is at Village Pointe a nice shopping village in Omaha, where the Apple Store exists therefore I was able to check it out after I saw the show. The comedian that was visiting was Joe Torry I haven’t heard of him before but he was good. His opening act was Alex Scott who in my opinion was funnier simply because of the material he used hehe. All in all, we had awesome dinner and a comedy show to watch my first night there.
P.S. I actually told my sister that I wanna grab one of those over-sized iPad2′s :P
Note: Omaha was such a cold place that some days I chose not to go out and not to mention Sister #3 had a lot of papers to turn in so we just went out some evenings and my battle with trying to grab an iPad 2 was happening. Therefore the next few posts about Omaha will be short and talk about random things there not day by day activities :)
I had previously written this post on my iPad and left it there for a while I wanted to post it immediately unfortunately when you are having so much fun you just seem to forget stuff! So instead I am going to summarize what I wrote and that way I get to please myself and more! So here goes:

It’s travel day, the last 24 hours have been hectic well if you go back to the last 48 hours then they’ve been even more especially that the weather has been insane, I’ve been sick and the last day (Thursday April 14) was a day of hell at work since I had to hand over everything and well I didn’t leave work until really late. I had a few other errands to run so I was running around after work, going over to my grandma’s house to have lunch and say the good-bye’s I had a lovely insane shrimp late lunch/early dinner and afterwards I just rushed out to the co-op to grab stuff and the “banak” I forgot to pack for my sister #3. I came home around 8:30pm and I was completely wasted and exhausted. I wanted to nap but luck has it that “It’s Complicated” was on TV and I seriously love me some Alec Baldwin, I decidd to instead chill and relax on the lazy boy and while I was watching I got a craving for a greasy Pizza Hut pizza! I placed the order then got an instant surge of energy went and packed my bag and slept around 2am. I woke up at 6am to finalize everything and let’s just say that sleeping with Lujain in the same bed is kinda hectic she sometimes doesn’t realize it but kicks me :P Yes she does!
Waking up at 6AM meant having to wake up sleepy Lujain who is next to me so we could go to the airport and she dropped me off there. We had awesome breakfast at Pizza Xpress they have delicious Omelets! And afterwards it was time to go in, and get on the plane (I just realized that our airport is really kinda small hehe).
The stupid thing that happened though was that the idiot who was working the Kuwait Airways counter gave me an aisle middle seat (you know the 3 seats that are in the middle I got the aisle one of those) where I had specifically asked for a Window seat! (I loves me my window!) unfortunately the plane was fully booked and I wasn’t able to trade spots therefore I just tried to keep down my steam and I took out my iPad loaded with the latest episodes of all my favorite Thursday TV Shows and proceeded to watch “The Vampire Diaries” where I swooned over Damon Salvatore! I was able to sleep only for 3 hours out of the 13 hours that it took to reach New York and that kinda ticked me off but oh well!
Later in New York
I arrived in New York at 5pm-ish and I quickly was able to grab my bags and hail a taxi cab the crazy thing was that the weather was insanely cold like bone-chilling cold! Totally the opposite of our dust filled weather back home! I rushed over to my sister #4′s dorm room (aka rabbit hole) to spend the night with her before I got on another plane tomorrow. The second I arrived I dropped all my bags changed into some warmer clothes and we rushed out to go check on her portfolio which she had to turn in that week! (read: it was awesome!) Afterwards we walked around in New York City trying to decide where to have a late lunch/early dinner (well it was dinner in the end because we went back home and slept later on without another meal!)
So we walked into Max Brenner’s an awesome Chocolate Restaurant sort of like Cheesecake Factory but with Chocolate and had an awesome dinner! It was absolutely delicious!
Seriously! I had some nice pasta and she had a nice chickeny meal. Afterwards dessert we had to try the Chocolate Fondue there which was to die for! We kept on oooh-ing and aaah-ing with every bite! It was delicious!
After that we walked a bit, I visited Best Buy just for the sake of it, and then we headed over to a local Theatre place to watch “Your Highness” I am desperately in love with James Franco but unfortunately this movie was kinda lame more like the Scary Movies, but oh well at least we got to have fun! We went back home and slept in the same tiny twin bed hehehe it was a weird way to sleep but it was cool nonetheless! I loved my Sister #4 time! She was awesome and so welcoming! I will be back in NYC before my trip ends so can’t wait for that.
I’ve been in the US for about a week now and I’ve been a bad blogger! I wanted to keep an updated daily journal but I guess the key to blogging now would be to summarize my trips in a few posts. I have finished with my time in Omaha, Nebraska and I am now in Columbus, Ohio (home of Glee-sters!) I enjoyed my time with Sister #3 (aka Your Battlefield) she was awesome and I felt welcome in her place. The things I would love to discuss would most likely be the funky food places I went to, the event I attended, my journey to grabbing an iPad2, and the mini-redecorating project I went through in Omaha.
I love blogging but am too lazy to do so mainly because I like watching my TV Shows so much more hehe and not to mention I love sleeping, going out, having awesome meals and spending time with my new gadget babies. So just stay tuned I will be cranking out the posts as fast as I can.
Note: I have been updating my twttier (@jacquies) and my instagram (jacqui) more often than my blog simply because I get lazy trying to find pictures to incorporate with the posts but I am keeping updated stuff there :P
I have officially left Kuwait last night, and right now I am waiting to leave New York to head over to Omaha, Nebraska! Wooohooo can’t wait to see my sister! It’s going to be fun tonight.
Only sad thing is, the weather is INSANELY COLD! BRRRRR! I’ve got lots of pictures that I’m taking on this trip however they have all been uploaded to my instagram account (find me: jacqui) and my twitter account () as well as my Facebook account. I have more pictures to take of course but this time I am going to have an insane time! YAY!
Anyways keep an eye out here for updated posts I will try to post daily of my adventures as I have missed writing a Travel Blog! It’s NEW YORK BABYYY!
Love you :D Oh and thanks alot to Sister #4 for her hospitality in her little rabbit hole :P It was nice living in a closed space!
