So a bunch of shows have received their good news or bad news depending on whether they got a pink slip or just a regular one, and some of my favorites are getting the boot which makes me sad. Let’s get cracking as to what happened to those shows:
- HOMELAND has been renewed for Season 5 by Showtime
- THE AFFAIR has been renewed for Season 2 by Showtime
- GRACELAND has been renewed for Season 3 by USA Network
- AMERICAN DAD has been renewed for Season 12 by TBS
- LONGMIRE has been revived by Netflix
- CRISTELA earns a full season order by ABC
- DANCING WITH THE STARS has been renewed for Season 20 by ABC
- FACE OFF has been renewed for Season 8
- UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT moves from NBC to Netflix and gets renewed
Since I last left you there have been some new renewals and cancellations on the list. Along with new information as to when your favorite mid-season shows will be returning, some will be returning for their final seasons. Interested to find out more then keep on reading.
Among the Fall’s newest shows we saw the renewal and full season order of FOREVER, along with the cancellations of SELFIE, A TO Z, and BAD JUDGE. It was no shocker for the cancelled shows but FOREVER was a welcome surprise in which we get to see more of our favorite Medical Examiner Dr. Henry Morgan.
I usually give an update once a month but I thought the recent news of the full season orders/pick-ups of our beloved new Fall TV 2014 shows deserved a post of their own. You see last week we were given a green light for shows like HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, BLACK-ISH, THE FLASH, and JANE THE VIRGIN. This week we saw the cancellation of MANHATTAN LOVE STORY and the full season orders of MADAM SECRETARY, STALKER, SCORPION, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, and THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA.
I personally am happy with how things played out but would have expected MULANEY to be the first show cancelled this season due to its insanely bad everything.
- MADAM SECRETARY has been picked up for a full season by CBS
- STALKER has been picked up for a full season by CBS
- SCORPION has been picked up for a full season by CBS
- NCIS: NEW ORLEANS has been picked up for a full season by CBS
- THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA has been picked up for a full season by NBC
- MANHATTAN LOVE STORY has been cancelled by ABC
Now that we are almost at an end with the month of October, I think it safe to compile the news spread on the web regarding the renewals and cancellations of your favorite shows. The new Fall Season has officially kicked in its full gears, some of the new shows have received full season orders while others received an added episode count. Up until this minute no new show has been cancelled but then again, I think we still have time.
The following new shows have all received full season orders: HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, BLACK-ISH, GOTHAM, THE FLASH, and JANE THE VIRGIN. While FOX has decided to cut down MULANEY’s episode order to only 13 episodes instead of 16 episodes. It has also been reported that ABC has requested more scripts for SELIFE, FOREVER, and MANHATTAN LOVE STORY. While NBC has requested more episodes for THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA, and CONSTANTINE. And before airing the first episode NBC has decided to pull the plug on Krysten Ritter’s comedy MISSION CONTROL.
It’s been a crazy summer, I have had this post in my queue for almost 5 months now and I think it is safe to say it is time to post it. I have also updated and added the newest information so you can benefit from all of the information. We can finally know the fates of your TV Shows that live on other networks such as TBS, TV Land, Netflix, etc. So I’m here to give you a bit of a heads up on everything as well as share with you the latest in TV news.
But first, let me share with you the dates of when some of your favorite shows are returning:
- WHITE COLLAR’s 6th and Final Season will come back NOVEMBER 6 (THU)
- THE NEWSROOM, THE COMEBACK, & GETTING ON will return NOVEMBER 9 (SUN)
- OUTLANDER will come back from mid-season finale on APRIL 4 2015 (SAT)
- MOM’s Season 2 premiere has been pushed to OCTOBER 30 & THE MILLERS pushed up to OCTOBER 20
It’s been 20 years since the series premiere on NBC back in 1994, WOW! Can you believe it’s been that long. To celebrate this amazing occasion Warner Bros. released a 236 second clip to celebrate all 236 episodes of the series.
Oh man, the days we spent going through the series. I can re-watch this show countless times and not feel as if I’m bored LOL! In my books Friends, Will & Grace, Charmed, and Gilmore Girls are the best shows of my childhood. There are others of course but these 4 have a special place and I just can’t tire of them. What are your favorites?
P.S. I’m so a “Joey” I can never share my food, I’m sometimes shallow but with a tendency to be smart sometimes (I’d like to think of myself that way) and I don’t share food :P
