More NBC news today, it seems that they have put in a full-season order request for both “Chuck” and “Chase” this season which means they are not being threatened by the big axe-board.
NBC actually increased the episodes ordered for “Chuck” from the usual 22 episodes to 24 for Season 4 which is a welcome movement for all “Chuck” fans around the world. Although rating-wise “Chuck” hasn’t been doing that well but NBC seems to have recognized that it has a faithful and loyal following and didn’t want to mess with that audience.
The action drama “Chase” on the other hand also got a full season order, but in my honest opinion I don’t see it as worthy of that pick up since it seems to be a show about some outlaw or another running around in Texas and the team has to find him, no real story behind that and nothing that can make me desperately want to see the next episode. ”Undercovers” another freshman show by J.J. Abrams is struggling in the ratings but didn’t receive a pick up instead NBC ordered a few more scripts for the show to see how it would fare. Now that is a show that I would gladly welcome watching it’s a different version of “Chuck” in my books and although it’s a cliche it still gives you a smile here and there.
So there you go, that’s about it in terms of pick ups this season NBC seems to be the first network with the news out, here’s hoping other networks announce their pick ups and cancellations soon.

One of the best ways I think to classify the new TV Shows is by the days they air and not the genre because well you will definitely be following them the next day and it’ll give you a sense of what type of show to watch if you’re looking for something new that day. This September we see a number of new Monday TV Shows of which I will be giving you glimpses for: The Event, Lone Star, Chase, Hawaii Five O, and Mike & Molly. Call this a little preview without any spoilers just to give you a sense of what the show is about.
