FOX Renews & Cancels Some of Its Shows

Ever since the beginning of May news of some shows that were being renewed and canceled were circulating the web but we can now bring you the important details of what was renewed and what shows weren’t.

FOX have announced the renewals of the following shows: “Bones” (7th Season), and “House” (8th Season).   Those shows joined the ranks of the already renewed other shows: “American Dad” (8th Season), “Bob’s Burgers” (2nd Season), “The Cleveland Show” (3rd Season), “Family Guy” (10th Season), “Fringe” (4th Season), “Glee” (3rd Season), “Raising Hope” (2nd Season), and “The Simpsons” (23rd Season).

However, most of the new shows and existing ones did not make the cut and were sent out on the chopping block, those shows include: “Breaking In”, “The Chicago Code”, “Human Target”, “Lie to Me”, “Traffic Light”, “Running Wilde”, and “Lone Star”..

The verdict is still out on “American Idol” however it is mostly likely going to be renewed.

With 7 shows out of the running it made room for some new pilots that will be premiering in the Fall Line-up, a look at those shows will be taken before the season starts in hopes that they do not canceled beforehand.

“Running Wilde” in the Cancellation Yard

January 9, 2011 |  by  |  Cancellation, Running Wilde

It comes as no surprise to most that FOX has pulled the remaining 5 episodes of “Running Wilde” from its schedule as it hasn’t been doing well in the ratings.  It also isn’t a surprise that the show has been cancelled regardless of the “Arrested Development” affiliation of most of the actors there.

The Will Arnett/Keri Russell comedy has been poorly reviewed and experienced very bad ratings ever since it’s launch and personally I’ve watched the show and can honestly define the comedy there as mediocre and find that it is a fluff show not one that would last.  Therefore FOX pulled the series for good.  According to Entertainment Weekly, the final five episodes including the one-hour finale will not air anytime soon but might air eventually, a date has not been given at all for the last five episodes.
